Full Text Search
RecurseChat includes powerful full text search capabilities that let you quickly find specific conversations and messages in your chat history. The search is optimized to handle thousands of conversations with fast response times, so you can easily search through large chat histories swiftly.
Using Full Text Search
To search through your chat history:
- Click the search icon in the left sidebar or use the keyboard shortcut
⌘ + F - Enter your search terms in the search box
- Results will show matching conversations and highlight the relevant messages
The search functionality searches through:
- Chat titles
- Message content
- Code blocks
Search Features
- Highlight matches: Matching terms are highlighted in the results
- Case sensitivity: Toggle case sensitive search on/off
- Branch search: Search finds matches across all message branches in conversations, and automatically switches to the correct branch when you click a search result
