Import & Export

RecurseChat believes in data ownership - your chat history belongs to you. You can freely import existing conversations, including those from ChatGPT, and export your chat history at any time. This ensures you’re never locked in and always have control over your data.

Import Chat History

To import chat history:

  • Go to Settings page by clicking the Settings button on the bottom left toolbar.
  • Go to “Chat History” section.
  • Click “Import” button from the “Import ChatGPT Chat History” section.

Note that importing chat history won’t create duplicates if you import multiple times.

Export Chat History

To export chat history:

  • Go to Settings page by clicking the Settings button on the bottom left toolbar.
  • Go to “Chat History” section.
  • Click “Export” button from the “Export Chat History” section.
